Spurs would have to buy him in the summer as part of the loan deal

Brazilian forward Malcom, Barcelona’s most expensive summer signing, is close to leaving the club in January. Barcelona are negotiating a loan deal with Tottenham which would include an obligatory option to buy at the end of the season.

Malcom’s lack of minutes has basically ostracised the player and he is looking for an exit. Very likely he will sign for Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs, who have just lost striker Harry Kane for a month to two months.

Barca and Spurs are negotiating over Malcom, after the London club got in touch on Wednesday over the player.

Malcom was out of the Copa del Rey squad against Levante on Thursday and he was not on the list for the league win over Eibar on Sunday.

However, despite his torrid time at Barca, the player maintains his reputation intentionally and there are various teams who would like him.

Barca received a 50m euro offer from Guangzhou Evergrande, 8m more than Barca paid Bordeaux last summer to sign him.

Malcom has just played the 90 minutes once for Barcelona, against Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey, playing in 10 games in total.
