Barcelona to Marc-Andre ter Stegen: If you want to leave, pay the release clause

Barcelona will not negotiate over Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Whatever the offer that arrives. The club met the goalkeeper at Camp Nou on Tuesday. The German stopper said he has a big offer on the table from Manchester City, but Barcelona's response was: "If you want to go, pay the clause."

After two years as a substitute in La Liga, and starting in the Copa del Rey and Champions League, the ambition of Ter Stegen is to get a more important role. The German thinks he has shown he can own the No 1 position and is willing to leave if that doesn't happen.

Barcelona's position is that Ter Stegen is un-transferrable. The only chance of him leaving is Manchester City stumping up the 80million euros that make up his release fee clause.
