Barcelona make their final offer for Celta Vigo star Nolito

Barcelona's negotiations to sign Nolito have entered the final straight. Celta Vigo have received the Catalans' final offer: A loan until the end of June, without paying a single euro, with an option to buy after that - without obligation, but with a potential punishment. The arrival of the forward at Camp Nou is dependent on Celta Vigo president Carlos Mourino accepting these conditions. Barcelona have agreed a deal with Nolito himself already.

The Catalans are going to keep trying until the last minute to sign Nolito, someone coach Luis Enrique has demanded. But the club will not spend a cent, not accept an obligation to buy, which would be considered a bill for this season. They will only accept an option to buy after July 1, if it is convenient for the Blaugrana.

In the intense negotiations between the sides, Barcelona are willing to accept a clause that punishes them if they don't then go on to sign Nolito. A fine that could be paid in cash - or in players. FC Barcelona know Celta must make a leap of faith to give them Nolito until the end of the season, knowing at worst, they will gain nothing.

Officially Celta have said they will only accept a bid of €18m for Nolito, his release fee caluse, but they're conscious the player wants to take advantage of the chance to play at the top level. To keep him is difficult and so they are trying to get the most out of Barcelona as they can. They have already signed a replacement: Claude Beauvue.

They have also now virtually ruled out the signing of Denis Suarez for now, with his incorporation likely to happen in the summer.
