Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba injured in Spain's qualifier with Ukraine

Jordi Alba picked up an injury on Friday night as Spain beat Ukraine 1-0 in Seville, which will keep him out for 10 days.

The Barcelona left-back pulled up towards the end of the clash and hobbled off, replaced by Bayern Munich's Juan Bernat.

The injury, to his right adductor, means he will miss next weekend's clash against Celta Vigo, and potentially the game against Almeria in the midweek afterwards.

Alba hopes he will be back and fit to play before Barcelona take on Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League.

The star left the Spain squad and arrived back in the Catalan capital on Saturday morning.

Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Pedro also turned out for the Spanish national team at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium.

Juventus' Alvaro Morata, formerly of Real Madrid, scored the goal which helped Vicente del Bosque's side earn three points in the European Championship 2016 qualifier.

Spain are second in Group C, behind Slovakia.
