Barcelona interested in making transfer move for Inter Milan's Mateo Kovacic

Ariedo Braida was in the Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday April 19 to watch Mateo Kovacic closely.

The Croatian central midfielder, 20, plays for Inter Milan and started the game against rivals AC Milan. It finished 0-0, but he was one of the more impressive performers.

This is not the first time that Braida, on Barcelona's technical commission, has watched Kovacic, although the midfielder is attracting interest from elsewhere too, including Premier League clubs.

Barcelona could make an offer for Kovacic, which may include Pedro Rodriguez going the other way, or Alex Song, both of whom Inter are interested in.

Braida has reccommended that Kovacic be signed urgently, to the other three members of the commission, Carles Rexach, Jordi Mestre and Javier Bordas. He believes Kovacic has a big future.

The Croat started to play in the lower leagues with LASK Linz (he was born in Austria on May 6, 1994), but then moved to Dinamo de Zagreb when his parents moved back to his country.
