Barcelona interested but cautious over Marco Verratti
Barcelona's board are still tracking the Italian midfielder
Dark times have come at PSG. The French press say that various stars at the club want to leave after the failure against Real Madrid. One of them, Marco Verratti, was part of a footballing soap opera when it came to a potential move to Barcelona last summer.
The board did had no option but to walk away after PSG refused to negotiate over the price of the player. But the situation has changed drastically.
At Barca they have never lost sight of Verratti. The club understand he is a player with an ideal profile to bring stability and balance to the midfield at Barca and they are convinced Marco would like to surround himself with players like Sergio Busquets.
However, despite what has happened to PSG, Barca don't believe they will let him go easily. They are convinced the team will be remodelled but Verratti will not be one of the parts sacrificed, unless someone pays an astronomic fee for him.
All eyes on Marco, but Barca don't want to repeat the shambles of their attempted deal before.
