Barcelona have their eye on Bayern's deal with Adidas as they prepare for Nike talks

Barcelona have got their eyes firmly fixed on Munich. One is focused on the football side of things as Luis Enrique prepares his team for the Champions League semi-final against Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich.

And it seems the other, as has become apparent in recent hours, is firmly fixed on the mega contract that the Bavarian side have signed because, in a certain way, it will affect the negotiations Barça are currently having with Nike -- their current agreement with the sports manufacturer expires in 2018.

Barça have become the flagship of the American company. They are the only team left in the last four of the Champions League who are with Nike. Juventus, admittedly are still Nike, but they will change to Adidas next season.

Adidas will pay Juve 140 million euros for the next six years (around 24 million euros a season), but the bomb comes in the form of the deal announced between Adidas and Bayern on Wednesday. The German champions will be paid 940 million euros between now and 2030.

That's a figure of around 90 million euros, while Manchester United's 10-year deal with Adidas, which starts next season, is worth 1,000 million euros.

Barcelona's current contract with Nike runs out in 2018 and is worth 35 million euros plus variables depending on shirt sales. This can push the number up to between 55 and 60 million euros per season.

Nike and Barça are talking about a new deal and the deal Bayern have just struck is being looked at, possibly by Real Madrid, too, who are also negotiating a new contract.

The agreement between Bayern and Adidas could therefore help Barça in their talks with Nike. The Azulgrana's directors now want to know more about Bayern's agreement so they can take the details to the table with Nike.
