Barcelona fans attacked by Alaves ultras in Vitoria pre-game

The Basques were armed with metal bars and attacked them. Various chairs and tables were thrown

One person was wounded in a fight between Alaves and Barcelona fans in Vitoria, early on Saturday afternoon.

Per Cadena SER radio and El Correa around 50 Basque fans, masked, attacked a group of Barcelona fans sitting in a bar near the Alava university campus. Around 20 Barcelona fans were said to have faced them on the terrace. 

The Basques were armed with metal bars and attacked them. Various chairs and tables were thrown according to accounts, with one Barcelona fan being taken to hospital after he was left with a big wound having been struck on the head. 

Nobody had been arrested as of 4pm, with police escorting Barcelona supporters to Medizorroza stadium ahead of the game.
