Barcelona close in on Paris Saint-Germain full-back Lucas Digne

French full-back Lucas Digne is close to becoming a Barcelona player. SPORT have learned that talks for the Paris Saint-German player are at an advanced stage, but an agreement between the three parties is not total, as has been reported elsewhere. 

Digne, who spent last season on loan at Roma, will cost around 12 million euros. However, it’s the final price of the transfer which must be agreed between Barça and PSG in the coming hours. 

The arrival of the left-back will signify increased competition for Jordi Alba for a starting spot. It also suggests Adriano Correia is close to leaving the club. The Brazilian is expected to move to Lazio for around 1.5 million euros. 

Roma were close to signing Digne, 22, but in the end opted for Mario Rui from Empoli. Therefore, the door opened up for Barça to make a move for the player, whose PSG deal runs until 2018, and close in on their third signing of the summer, after Denis Suarez and Samuel Umtiti.
