FC Barcelona are now in Madrid, the city where they face Atletico on Sunday in a huge clash at the top of La Liga. They need a victory to keep fighting for the title against Real Madrid and Sevilla, the latter of whom moved joint top with the former on Sunday after beating rivals Real Betis.

The Blagurana traveled on Saturday night along with vice president Jordi Cardoner, and directors Joan Blade, Javier Bordas, Emili Rousaud and Xavier Vilajoana.

The plane set off around 7.15pm from El Prat and landed about an hour later in Madrid. Once in the Spanish capital, the team headed to the Eurostars Madrid Tower, there they will rest ahead of the game.

Barcelona are conscious of the importance of earning three points to become the provisional leader, ahead of Real Madrid’s clash with Villarreal at El Madrigal at 8.45pm CET.
