Barcelona and Real Madrid interested in Porto's Ruben Nevez

Ruben Neves’s impressive start to the season has caught the attention. He’s a teenager who is breaking records — such as becoming Porto’s youngest goal scorer (17 years 155 days) and the youngest Portuguese player to debut in the Champions League, beating Cristiano Ronaldo’s record.

He is a central midfielder capable of moving the ball with precision, link up well in attack and he mature for his age. Some of Europe’s biggest sides are keeping an eye on him and have been doing so for a long while, even though he is still not guaranteed a place in Porto’s starting lineup.

That is what ‘Record’ is reporting in Portugal, at least. It says that both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, along with Chelsea, are interested in the youngster. In the case of Barça, any possible January deal could be like to the injury sustained by Rafinha against Roma.

Neves is represented by Gestifute (the agency owned by Jorge Mendes) and has a contract with Porto until 2017. His release clause is 40 million euros.
