Barcelona and Bayern Munich are favourites for the Champions League

Barcelona are into the semi-finals of the Champions League for the eighth time in the last 10 years. It's a story of historic success for a historic team. And Luis Enrique's Barcelona, who began the season doubtfully and entered 2015 in crisis, can still aspire to more.

They can aspire to be champions of Europe. With their quarter-final exhibition against PSG (and in the round-of-16 against Manchester City) they have positioned themselves as one of the favourites to conquer the tournament. Along with Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich.

The first half against PSG was perfect, better than the first half they produced against Sevilla in the Pizjuan 10 days ago. Even if that game ended differently. On that occasion, Barca ended up drawing, but against PSG they continued with intensity and concentration. The idea of the French side producing a comeback was impossible.

Despite winning 3-1 in Paris, this game was taken seriously. Iniesta was inspired and Neymar produced the goods.

Bayern also produced an exhibition of football on Tuesday night. After losing in Porto (3-1) they were questioned, with even Pep's job briefly discussed. But back in Germany they humiliated Lopetegui's side in the opening 45 minutes.

Five goals had them in front in the tie by half time and it's obvious that Bayern remain the big favourite in the Champions League — now joined by Barça. Hopefully they don't meet until the final. Let's see what happens in Friday's draw
