Barcelona 3-0 Eibar: Player ratings from tough game at Camp Nou

Claudio Bravo 7 - Only had one save to make, but it was a good one. With Saul Berjon through on goal he made himself big and denied the forward. Could have lost his clean sheet streak, though, when he was rounded by Capa.

Dani Alves 7 - Supported the attack well, creating the second goal with a pinpoint cross for Neymar to volley home.

Gerard Pique 6 - Despite his incident with the Guardia Urbana in midweek, the defender was reasonably solid. Switched off a couple of times but wasn't made to pay, including one ill-judged backheel inside his own box.

Jeremy Mathieu 7 - Another assured performance from the Frenchman, who has earned his place in the team for the Clasico next weekend.

Jordi Alba 6 - Didn't get forward and influence the game as much as he is capable of, and we could see Mathieu move across and take his place against Real Madrid, with Bartra or Mascherano dropping into the centre

Javier Mascherano 7 - He loves playing in defensive midfield far more than at centre-back and he looked like the player we saw ruling midfields at the World Cup. A tenacious presence.

Sergi Roberto 6 - Did nothing wrong but struggled to provide much for the forwards to go off. Iniesta replaced him and looked better, as you would expect.

Xavi 7 - The old pass-master is still ruling the roost and even chipped in with a rare goal. His give-and-go with Messi broke the deadlock.

Pedro 5 - Another game, another ineffective performance from the Canary Islander. His time at Barcelona may be ending with several younger players looking more promising.

Leo Messi 8 - Didn't have everything his own way, but still made the first goal and finished off the third with aplomb. One goal away from matching Zarra's record now.

Neymar 8 - Cut in from the left in swashbuckling fashion. Comfortable working with Messi now, setting up the Argentine neatly for the third, after having netted himself.

Substitutes

Andres Iniesta 7 - Not found his best rhythm under Enrique but far more effective than Sergi Roberto. Great chipped pass should have seen Messi score at the end with a header.
