Barcelona's Uruguayan forward is likely to come back into the side for the game against Girona on Saturday at Montilivi, the sixth league game of the season.
Suarez rested in midweek against Eibar at Camp Nou and will return with renewed energy, according to Barça coach Ernesto Valverde.
"I think this break will do him good. He's fine physically, but I just though it was right to give him a rest," Valverde said on Tuesday -- Suarez had returned two weeks early from a knee injury earlier this month.
Valverde made six changes from the Getafe win to the Eibar game and there may be more at Girona, who are strong at home, as proven by their opening day 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid.
With that in mind, and also considering the return of Suarez, the probable team is: Ter Stegen in goal; a defence of Semedo, Pique, Umtiti, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic and Iniesta in midfield; and Deulofeu, Messi and Suarez in attack.
However, it's not ruled out that Mascherano continues in the case that Pique is given a rest, while Denis Suarez or Sergi Roberto could cover Iniesta, who's started five games in two weeks. Paulinho's form may also earn him a second successive start.
