Barça's deal for Arda Turan will be finalised by the club's new president
FC Barcelona's new president will be in charge of completing the signing of Arda Turan. It will not be until he is elected, therefore, that the Turkish midfielder will officially begin his life as a player at the Catalan club.
The interim management board have been in charge of the deal, but now everything is tied down, there is no rush to finalise the contract because, among other reasons, Arda Turan will not be able to play until January 2016, when the winter transfer window opens.
It will be some time after July 18, the date that the socios will vote for a new president, when everything will be finalised and Arda Turan, until now an Atletico Madrid player, will be presented as a Barça player.
Arda Turan was asked for by Luis Enrique, who wanted to add more options to his midfield. The player, who will arrive for 35 million euros, was keen to leave Atletico and to sign for FC Barcelona.
