Barça to loan Marlon to Nice

Ernesto Valverde admitted on Saturday that Marlon Santos was one of the players who Barça were trying to loan out or sell before the market closes. With Piqué, Umtiti, Mascherano and even Vermaelen ahead of the Brazilian, it was clear that something had to happen.

And it seems that Barça have found a solution. Marlon will move to Nice on loan. Negotiations between the two clubs are very advanced and the loan should be finalised soon. The only question now is whether the loan will be one season or two.

This deal has progressed independently of the deal with Nice for Seri. And it should be remembered that Barça’s technical secretary, Robert Fernández, confirmed that Barça are still looking for one or two more signings but made it clear that Seri would not be one of those players.
