Barça tell Sanabria: If you receive an interesting offer, accept it

Tony Sanabria's future seems further away from Camp Nou with each passing day.

The former La Masia forward, now at Roma, has been waiting on Barcelona for several weeks, but the club have made no moves. Therefore, the player's representatives got in touch with Robert Fernandez, the Catalan club's sporting director. His response was: "If you receive an interesting offer, accept it."

Right now, Sanabria is not a priority for Barça. The club contemplated the Paraguayan's signing after his great season with Sporting, with both Robert and Luis Enrique fans. However, he's not at the top of their list.

The player has accepted Barça's response as it was always going to be difficult to return to the club. In addition, he's excited by the fact, save any surprises, he's instead set to link up with Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs will travel to Barcelona this week to try to close the deal with the forward. Talks are advanced and it shouldn't be difficult to finalise an agreement. What will be more difficult will be the talks with Roma. The Italian club have still not put a price on Sanabria and are not in a rush to close a transfer which could end up costing between 15 and 20 million euros.
