Barça star Lionel Messi pops to Italy on day off to visit his nutritionist
Lionel Messi has taken advantage of the day off given to the Barcelona squad by Luis Enrique to take a trip to the Italian town of Sacile.
According to the newspaper 'Il Friuli', Messi is in the north east of Italy to visit Giuliano Poser.
Poser is the doctor who has been in charge of Messi's diet since the beginning of the season and the trip is in order to fine tune his eating habits at this crucial time in the season.
Food and diet have been a headache for Messi, especially last season when he was seen suffering from nausea on several occasions.
Therefore, Barça's No.10 decided to take the matter into his own hands and arranged to work with the Italian specialist.
There is no doubt that he has benefitted from the relationship.
As we go into the final stretch of the campaign, he has already improved on the numbers he posted under Gerardo Martino and he is looking close to his best once again.
