Barça sign youngster Franco Bartucci from Estudiantes
FC Barcelona will sign Franco Bartucci, a youth forward who had been playing for Estudiantes de la Plata, and is considered to be one of the best young talents in Argentine football.
If there is no unexpected last-minute change, the player will travel to Barcelona on July 22.
After a few free weeks which the youngster will use to settle in the Catalan capital, he will begin training with his new teammates on August 8.
Bartucci was part of the Estudiantes delegation that took part in a tour of Spain. It included a match against Barça, and it was at that game in which the Barcelona scouts were left impressed with the performances of the striker.
That day, contacts were made and since then, Bartucci has been invited on several occasions to come to Barcelona and learn about the club in more detail.
At the moment, the player is training in Buenos Aires with the coaching staff that accompanied Gabriel Milito, when the former Barça defender was in charge of the Estudiantes first team.
