Barça set to subject Andre Gomes to rigorous medical
Barcelona's latest signing Andre Gomes is scheduled to undergo two medical examinations on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of his unveiling at the club.
The former Valencia midfielder has a history of muscle problems and his new club are unwilling to take any chances, taking the necessary precautions to avoid any issues.
Since surgery on his left quadriceps in May 2015, Gomes returned for the start of the 2015/16 season in a bad way and suffered relapses throughout the campaign.
However, in the closing stages of the season with Los Che and Portugal's Euro 2016 campaign, it seems that the 22-year-old has pushed his injury problems to one side, for now.
In any case, Barça want to cover every base and will begin their tests with an MRI scan on his left leg on Tuesday afternoon, before completing his other examinations on Wednesday.
