Barça seek to force the exit of outcast Arda Turan

Barcelona continue to work on completing Luis Enrique's squad ahead of next season with the aim of accelerating Arda Turan's departure firmly on the agenda.

The 29-year-old joined the Blaugrana contingent who travelled to England on Monday as the team begin their next stage of pre-season preparations, although within the offices at the Camp Nou his future is yet to be resolved.

Arda's name has been mentioned by sporting director's across Europe since early June, with his high salary and 34 million euros transfer fee aiming to be recuperated by Barça.

In this regard, Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini said he was interested in signing the former Atletico Madrid player, but Arda has already claimed he will only leave for a top club that are "contenders for the Champions League".

From there on, Napoli also submitted a proposal that has since been revised and postponed as the club focuses on the signing of Mauro Icardi to replace Gonzalo Higuain, who is set to join Juventus.

Monaco are another potential suitor as the Principality club prepare for two Champions League qualifiers in the near future, having already lightened their payroll with Jeremy Toulalan's departure to Bordeaux.

The forceful defence of Enrique for Arda has shown that his and the view of the Barça hierarchy differ completely. In fact, the differences aren't new and have also been evident in cases involving the likes of Nolito, Marc Bartra and Douglas Pereira.
