Barça seduce Dani Ceballos
Barça's key advantage is that he would join their squad immediately
The club have already talked with Ceballos and the player will decide on his future this week
FC Barcelona have intensified their chase of Dani Ceballos in the last few hours. The player is keen on the move, although Real Madrid retain an interest. Barça have spoken with the player and were clear: their interest is real and the player would join the first team squad immediately. And this could tip the balance because Real Madrid’s interest is more long term.
The Madrid club want to sign and then loan him back to Betis so he can develop there for another year. Ceballos though thinks he is ready for the challenge of playing for a bigger club and the idea of playing in the Champions League next season appeals to him. Given his €15 million release fee, it is likely that the decision will be Ceballos’ alone, with Betis having no say.
Ceballos has not yet reached a decision and is thinking it over while enjoying his holidays. He is, however, convinced that he is good enough to play a role at Barça.
