Barça reach agreement with Sevilla for Kevin Gameiro

Kevin Gameiro is set to become Barcelona's latest acquisition ahead of the 2016/17 season after an agreement was reached in principle with Sevilla for the Frenchman's transfer.

The deal was completed on Sunday afternoon with speculation beginning to surface after the striker took no part in Los Nervionenses' friendly with SV Sandhausen, the 29-year-old instead choosing to take his place in the stands alongside the club's sporting director Monchi.

Only a few details remain but Barça are expected to announce the final agreement and recruit the long-needed attacking option for Enrique.

Gameiro helped Sevilla achieve their third Europa League in succession last season, scoring 29 goals in all competitions.
