Barça player ratings: Man of the match performance from Sergi Roberto

Ter Stegen - (6) - Handled the ball outside his area in one of the more comic moments of the first half. Also made a couple of errors with his passing, although nothing came from them. Other than that, a fairly quiet afternoon. 

Sergi Roberto - (8) - Barca’s best player. The right-back position is his without any doubt. Set up two goals, one for Rafinha and another for Arda, and was key in the build up to another, scored by Neymar. Also drew the foul which saw Lora sent off. Man of the match. 

Pique - (7) - Barca are much better when he’s at the back, launching their attacks. That goes without saying. Another good performance here, organising and dictating, as well as producing timely challenges. 

Mathieu - (6) - Had a goal disallowed in the second half. Was solid in defence. 

Digne - (6) - Gives his all every time he plays. Looks a good back up to Jordi Alba based on his appearances so far. 

Busquets - (6) - If anything goes wrong, he’s there to solve it. Supported his teammates when they had problems, both in attack and defence. Did the dirty work before being substituted. 

Andre Gomes - (6) - Played plenty of passes, although none resulted in any of the goals. Also wasted the game’s first good chance, shooting over. Was always connected with the play, although his intensity dropped in the second half. 

Arda Turan - (7) - Started well, but disappeared slightly as the game went on. Played in midfield and created the first goal with a great pass for Luis Suarez. In the second half he dropped off, but scored late on via a Sergi Roberto cross. 

Rafinha - (6) - One of the few balls he touched ended up in the goal. He scored the second, heading home Sergi Roberto’s cross. Apart from that, though, he didn’t do a lot. 

Suarez - (6) - After a game to forget against Atletico, he was once again back on target, opening the scoring after rounding Ivan Cuellar. Was taken off for Alcacer. 

Neymar - (7) - Didn’t participate as much as the other forwards but scored the most goals. Good in one on one situations but his final pass let him down. However, he doesn’t stop and he found his prize: a goal after Alacer hit the bar and another from a Denis Suarez pass. 

SUBSTITUTES

Denis Suarez - (7) - Came on in the 69th minute and stood out for his passing. The pass for Neymar for Barça’s fifth goal was a work of art. 

Paco Alcacer - (6) - Hit the crossbar from a Sergi Roberto cross. His first goal will have to wait.
