The Catalan club want to know the player's plans for the future

Midfielder Ceballos' release clause is only 15 million euros

SPORT revealed on Saturday that Barcelona want to know Dani Ceballos' situation with Real Betis and have designed the steps they will follow to try and sign the player.

Ceballos had a stunning UEFA U21 Championships with Spain and Barça want to take advantage of the good relationship with Betis after the sale of Cristian Tello.

Barça want to hear first hand from Ceballos what his plans are for the futures. Despite all the rumours, he has been discrete and not made any comments about what he will do.

Real Madrid are interested, too, but Betis vice president Santa Ferrer has said there's been no contact from Los Blancos and Barça trust in his word.

Betis plan to hold a meeting in the coming days. President Angel Haro is tired of repeating that the price of the young star is none other than that of his clause, 15 million euros, and that no one has so far submitted a formal offer.

Barça hope that the 'Ceballos case' will be given a green light or a red light quickly. They don't want any hesitation over a great opportunity: the player has a Barça profile, the starting price is low and Betis have a good relationship with the Catalan club.

During the negotiation of Tello's transfer last week, Dani Ceballos's name was also on the negotiating table on several occasions.

If the midfielder is not tied to Real Madrid or any other team -- Juventus are also interested -- Barca are convinced that 15 million euros is a reasonable fee, an opportunity that the club does not want to let go without first exploring its viability.
