Barça to offer Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic new deals in summer

FC Barcelona have told Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez that their intention to start talks over renewing their contracts will happen at the end of this season. 

The board's aim is to initiate contact with players on this front two years before their current deals expire, and both Rakitic and Suarez have penned contracts that take them until June 2019.

In the case of Rakitic, FC Barcelona wanted to end his rumours about his exit after the signing of Andre Gomes. And with Suarez, the club want to revise his contract in line with his performances. 

Contact with Rakitic is not the start of the matter, because the player himself said the negotiations had started back in January. Suarez has always left his future in the hands of the club. 

FC Barcelona recently renewed Sergio Busquets, Neymar and Javier Mascherano's deals, while they have made contact with Messi, as well as Rakitic and Suarez.
