Barça make final renewal offer to Neymar: 15 million euros per year

Barça has reached its limit, they can not offer more. The Catalan club has informed Neymar that their final contract renewal offer is 15 million euros, after tax, per season. Now it is up to the Brazilian to decide if he wants to stay or leave for pastures new.

At Camp Nou, the board believes that, after Messi, Neymar is the number one player, and for that reason they are prepared to make a big effort for the former Santos forward. However, the club also believes that the offer they have made is the best possible, as they wish for Leo Messi to remain as the highest paid player in the squad.

Those in the Neymar camp have been leaking stories about contact from Manchester United, PSG, and even Real Madrid, in recent months. It could be said that while Barça have been working for a solution, from Neymar's side, everything has been blanketed in scepticism. The star's father is not being clear and that has annoyed the Barcelona board.

The temptation right now for Neymar is PSG. The Parisian club is offering 25 million euros after tax per season, and at Barça they are conscious of the fact that if the player prioritises money, it is possible he will go.

So the ball is in Neymar's court. Barça have planted themselves at 15 million euros per year and the Brazil international has to decide if he takes it or leaves it. There is no going back.
