Barça, Madrid AND Dortmund at war for Lorient left-back Guerreiro

Raphael Guerreiro has become one of the most sought after players this summer. The left-back looks like being one of the breakout players at the European Championships after a sensational season with Lorient and Barcelona have already had two meeting with his agent

The Blaugrana want to sign a a player to provide competition for Jordi Alba, but the competition for Guerreiro is tough. Real Madrid, who only have one natural left-back in their squad, too, are also on the scene, as are Borussia Dortmund, who are one of the busiest clubs in the market so far.

In Germany, Bild have announced that Dortmund have reached a pre-agreement with Lorient for a 12 million euro deal, while offering the player a four-year contract. However, Guerreiro wants to play in the Spanish league.

Barca have followed him all season and hope that they can get things back on track, but Madrid are also ready to go big for the player. There are few left-backs of his quality on the market and his price is one of the most competitive.

Guerreiro is an attacking full-back. In fact, he has played games as a winger in the French league. He’s provoking a lot excitement in the Portuguese national team, too, after scoring a free-kick and providing a fine assist in one of their pre-Euro 2016 friendlies.

At 22, he is a player with a lot of potential and Barcelona value his speed and his technique. Now they have to make a definitive decision on if they will make a major move for Guerreiro, because Dortmund have made their position clear.
