The club have promised one or two new signings this week

Coutinho and Di Maria are two targets proving hard to get

It's going to be an agitated final day in the transfer widnow for Barcelona, different to in recent years. The pressure to close signings (all efforts are focused on Philippe Coutinho, without forgetting Angel Di Maria) is high. Fans want transfers.

Barça have reached the final day with a lot of work to be done. They have said that they are negotiating for several players and hope for one, if not two new signings. The sensation is, though, that the planning has been a failure.

Albert Soler, Pep Segura and Raúl Sanllehí worked until late on Thursday night at the club's offices. President Josep Maria Bartomeu, who spent the morning on Aristides Maillol, was in permanent contact with his employees, mobile in hand, waiting for news.

In a climate of tension, nerves were evident. As time passes, the sensation multiplied that Barça have left it too late.

Now everything comes down to the final day. The only communication from Barça yesterday was Douglas' loan to Benfica. There was no news on Coutinho or Di Maria. Nor Lemar nor Mahrez, names that appeared late on.

And despite everything, Barça are still hopegul of landing their top target, Coutinho, from Liverpool. They hope their final offer, which won't reach 150 million euros, will be enough.

The club also feel they're capable of landing another player, presumbaly Di Maria, although talks with PSG won't be easy.
