Barça have raised 13.6 million euros for transfers

Barcelona continue to battle the 'overbooking' problem in the club's squad but have only 13.6 million euros to spend on new signings this summer.

Since the end of last season, the Blaugrana have received eight million euros for Marc Batra (who joined Borussia Dortmund), five million for Alen Halilovic (signed by Hamburg) and 600,000 for Adriano Correia (set to join Besiktas).

Free transfers have seen both Sandro Ramirez and Dani Alves depart for Malaga and Juventus respectively, while Rubin Kazan's payment for Alex Song is performance-related.

Barça now have three other unresolved cases: Doglas Pereira, who rejected a move back to Brazil and other offers from Spanish clubs, Cristian Tello, who is trying to convince the Catalan club to let him rejoin Fiorentina, and Martin Montoya, who could become part of the Andre Gomes deal in order to reduce the fee to be paid to Valencia.

There are still two players who could leave the Camp Nou in Claudio Bravo and Thomas Vermaelen. Bravo has attracted interest from Manchester City and team-mate Vermaelen has several offers from the Premier League and Serie A - none of which have materialised.

Barça have already invested around 80 million euros (a greater figure if Gomes' variables are included) on new acquisitions ahead of the 2016/17 season, those signings being:

Denis Suarez (3.25 million from Villarreal)

Lucas Digne (16.5 million from Paris Saint-Germain)

Samuel Umtiti (25 million from Olympique Lyonnais)

Andre Gomes (35 million plus 20 in variables)
