Blazing sunshine greeted Barcelona on their first day of training in the USA. The 26-man squad were training at the NY Red Bulls training ground in New Jersey.
Some players looked jetlagged on their arrival but the rituals didn’t change. Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez stuck together and were the last to get off the bus. Before the session, there hugs for Lucas Digne, who turned 24 years on Thursday.

The session lasted about an hour and the players decided to return to their hotel, about 10 minutes away, to change. The heat and humidity took their toll and the players were drenched in sweat on their way back to the bus. The team has a double session scheduled for this Thursday.
