Barça drawn with Man City, M'Gladbach and Celtic in Champions League

Manchester City, Borussia Monchengladbach and Celtic are the rivals of FC Barcelona in the group stage of the 2016/17 Champions League, drawn this Thursday in the Grimaldi Forum of Monaco.

Luis Enrique's side have not had luck in the draw, particularly with the first two teams pulled out to face them in Group C.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, with their new signing Claudio Bravo, were the team drawn from pot two, the rival that everybody wanted to avoid.

The second lot of opposition, from pot three, were the Bundesliga team Borussia Monchengladbach, former team of Marc- Andre Ter Stegen. Again, they were one of the stronger teams available in their pot. Barça will face them for the first time in European competition.

Finally the third rival were Scottish champions Celtic, a side with which Barcelona are familiar after recent meetings.

A tough draw for Barça then, as they aim to win their sixth title in the competition.
