Barça declare goalkeeper Ter Stegen as nontransferable

Barça have already made it clear to Marc-Andre ter Stegen that he won't be allowed to leave unless his buy-out clause of 85 million euros is met.

The club itself has received interest from two teams in the Premier League for the goalkeeper and it seems Manchester City are the most determined to secure the German's signature.

Ter Stegen spoke with Barça at the end of last season to understand what his squad role will be as he enters his third year at the Camp Nou.

No one can guarantee him the assurance that he will be the Blaugrana's firm choice in goal with Claudio Bravo proving to be stern competition, but the former Borussia Mochengladbach player was told that he remains the club's future no.1 for many years to come.

Nothing has developed so far, but in recent days City have enquired about the 24-year-old. The answer was clear and Ter Stegen is expected to stay in Cataloina for at least another year.

Barça must once again handle their goalkeeping situation with caution, given Ter Stegen and Bravo both possess the quality to stake their own claims to Luis Enrique.
