Barcelona close to loan deal for Celta Vigo forward (and Lucho favourite) Nolito

Celta Vigo forward Nolito is closing in on a move to Barcelona. At least that’s the impression recent negotiations between the two clubs have given. Talks have intensified in the last few hours and the forward could soon join Barça on loan. 

Despite arriving on loan, it would be with the option to buy, according to ‘Efectivament’ on Catalan Television. The operation could include either Sandro Ramirez or Munir El Haddadi - or possibly both. 

Nolito, 29, who also has an offer from Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, is Luis Enrique’s primary request in the transfer window. In his press conference previewing Wednesday’s Copa del Rey game with Espanyol, the Barça boss revealed he wants a forward above all else. 

With the loan of Nolito, a move for Denis Suarez would be parked until the summer. The midfielder is currently at Villarreal, but the Catalan club have an option to bring him back in the summer - although they would bring that option forward if they can’t land Spain international Nolito.
