Barça boss Luis Enrique: "The only norma I know is Norma Duval"

Luis Enrique would not be drawn on Carles Rexach's comments after watching his Barcelona side record their seventh successive away win with a 3-1 success at Granada on Saturday.

Rexach had suggested the Barça boss has brought "too many rules" to the first team, using the Spanish word norma

However, Enrique refused to be drawn into a battle of words with the former Barça player and instead changed the subject to his side's performance.

"The only norma that I know is Norma Duval," Lucho said ironically, naming a Spanish TV presenter and actress who happens to be called Norma.

"I'm happy to have won this game, especially considering all the things that surrounded it.

"It is always difficult after a Champions League game to play a game like this, and we didn't forget that last season this fixture ended in defeat."

Luis Enrique was keen to highlight the fact his players had produced the goods on such a difficult surface.

"[Because of the state of the pitch] we tried to be more direct, more effective with the second balls," he continued.

"The team adapted really well and knew how they had to play to get the job done and the result never looked in danger at any moment.

"We also played really well in defence."

As for Luis Suarez, who was involved in all three of Barça's goals, Luis Enrique reasoned that the Uruguayan has been playing well since he joined the club, not just now because he is scoring.

"Now the media are praising him for his goals, but since he arrived he has been at a very high level," he opined.

"Maybe now his work is more spectacular and appreciated more publically, but since the first moment I've spoken about all he brings to the club."
