The coach revealed the full-back is progressing quicker than expected

Vidal still hopes for a future at Barça but it may depend on the new boss

In the press conference ahead of Saturday's game against Espanyol, Luis Enrique was asked about how Aleix Vidal is recovering after dislocating his ankle against Alaves at Mendizorroza on Feb. 11.

The right-back has been doing some light training with the ball and the Barça coach was asked if he could have a chance of featuring in the Copa del Rey final against Alvaes on May. 27.

"Aleix Vidal is recovering well, better than was expected according to the medical team," Luis Enrique said. "There are no doubts that when he gets back on the pitch he will recover his best form."

However, Lucho did not reveal any more details and it seems unlikely Vidal will play again this season. The initial expectation was that he would not play again in the current campaign and Barça will not rush him back.
