Barça and Valencia are already in talks over right-back Joao Cancelo

Valencia’s Portuguese defender Joao Cancelo is interesting Barcelona -- and Barça and Valencia are already in talks for the young full-back.
According to the Portuguese press, the two clubs, through their sporting directors Robert Fernandez and Jesus Garcia Pitarch, are negotiating a potential deal for January, confirming the reports from Radio Valencia on Wednesday.
In the talks, which are in the initial phase, the possibility of including Aleix Vidal has been put on the table. The right-back is not in Luis Enrique’s plans.
However, it remains to be seen what the thoughts of new Valencia manager Cesare Prandelli are. The Italian has already recommended various potential signings for his squad in January.
Cancelo, 22, who signed for Los Che from Benfica, is currently with the Portugal national team, along with Barça midfielder Andre Gomes, who joined Camp Nou from Valencia in the summer.
Remember that not long ago Cancelo recognised that “I’m young and I aspire to perfection.”
