Barça and Manchester City interested in Benfica's Semedo
The Portuguese right-back has been followed by the Catalan club
According to 'O Jogo', Barça and City are both keen on the player
Barcelona's priority for next season is to sign a right-back. Arsenal's Hector Bellerin remains the top target, but the Catalan club are working on alternatives, too.
One of them, according to O Jogo, is Benfica's Nelson Semedo, a player who the club have received very good reports about.
So far, however, the club who has shown the most interest in the 23-year-old full-back is Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
Guardiola's praised the player and O Jogo highlight that City's Txiki Begiristain was seen with Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira at Juventus' game against Monaco on Tuesday.
Barça's sporting director Robert Fernandez knows Semedo well and has seen him live on numerous occasions, but the club are still focused on Bellerin.
The Blaugrana are convinced that Bellerin can be the club's right-back for years to come and that he would adapt quickly, having come through La Masia before leaving for London as a teenager.
