Barça admit they are negotiating to sign Spain international Paco Alcacer

The FC Barcelona director of professional sports, Albert Soler, has spoken about the possible signing of Valencia forward Paco Alcacer.

The arrival of the player is so close that even the high-ranking Barça executive discussed the deal in comments made to radio station RAC-1, and admitted that "we are working" to complete the incorporation.

Soler did not want to give any more information, and added:

"Until it is official, we can not say anything. We will not speculate and we will continue to work."

Barça are acting with caution. to bring the negotiations for the main objective of Luis Enrique, a fourth forward, to a successful conclusion. A difficult deal as it may also include Munir. Sergi Samper will not be part of a possible exchange of players as he has agreed to a loan move to Paco Jemez's Granada.

Regarding the Champions League draw, Soler accepted that it will be a "tough group" as they face Manchester City in the initial stage, an encounter with Pep Guardiola, which Soler said "will always be special due to Pep's importance". Soler also warned of the dangers of Borussia Monchengladbach, who could be the surprise package of the group.
