Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has twice been a Barcelona target
Antoine Griezmann has twice been on the agenda of FC Barcelona. The first was during his formative stage, when Txiki was in charge of the sports management and looked for young players with a more physical presence.
Griezmann started to progress at Real Sociedad but reports said his physical weakness was a major handicap.
Later on, once he had become installed in La Liga, his form attracted the attention of a number of clubs.
Pep Guardiola was interested in bringing him in, but instead he missed the cut and Alexis Sanchez was picked up instead, beating the Frenchman and a few other interesting players.
