Arda Turan: "Waiting six months a problem, but I've come to win titles over five years"

Arda Turan will arrive in Barcelona on Thursday and before setting off to be presented as a Barça player, he spoke to SPORT: "Everyone in the world comes from somewhere; I've come from a small part of Turkey to play for the best team in the world. To be able to play for Barça is a deam. All players want to play at Camp Nou, the best stadium I've ever stepped out on."

The former Atletico Madrid player must wait until January until he can play because of FIFA's sanction, which prevents Barça from register new players until the winter transfer window: "To not play for all that time is a problem, but I'm not coming to play for six months, but to win titles over five years." In this sense, he is convinvced that he arrives "in the best moment of my career."

He's won almost everything with Atletico, inclusing La Liga, Copa del Rey, Spanish and European Super Cups and the Europa League. However, he's lacking the Champions League. "I want it a lot," he said about Europe's top prize. "I really want to win it, it's the only title I've not got and I want it included in my honours."

The now Barcelona midfielder has not spoken with Luis Enrique about tactics or positions, although he did speak with him on the phone on Monday. For Arda Turan, though, "it does not matter where I play. I want to adapt to the team, to get to know my teammates and to win titles. I will play wherever I am put."
