Arda Turan starts the season injured. Luckily for him, he has nearly six months to recover. The Turkish star arrived in Los Angeles with the team but did not take part in the second training session on American soil. The midfielder suffered a hit to his right leg that stopped him from exercising normally. This possibly happened during the first training session.
Arda, wearing the usual protective jacket to measure his pulse and athletic performance was circling the field with fitness coach Juan Brau. Luis Enrique and the other players trained at 9.30am without Arda. He can't feature in any of the friendlies anyway, and neither can Aleix Vidal, given the FIFA transfer ban rules.
