Arda Turan offers himself to Atletico Madrid as Barça career nears end
Marca report the Turkish forward is ready to link up with Cholo again
Valverde doesn't count on the player, who also has offers from China and Turkey
Arda Turan is looking for an exit. The message was clear when Ernesto Valverde didn't give him a single minute in the Joan Gamper Trophy game against Chapecoense. Douglas was the only other outfield player not to play.
The reality is it has been a long time coming. Arda has struggled to perform at Camp Nou, despite breif moments of brilliance. Primarily, it's looked like he would leave for China or a return to his native Turkey.
However, now Marca have said that the player himself is looking for an alternative. The former Atletico Madrid player wants to return to the capital and link up with Diego Simeone once again.
Remember that Atletico can't sign players until January, though, as they are under a transfer ban, as Barça were curiously when they signed Arda in 2015 -- leaving him to spend six months without playing.
Neymar's departure could have been a big chance for Arda, but instead Valverde used Gerard Deulofeu and Denis Suarez on Monday, leaving Arda, a 35 million euro signing, cast to one side.
