Arda Turan a doubt for Barça's La Liga game against Granada

The Turkish midfieder's ankle is heavily bandaged after taking a knock in the Catalan Super Cup

Even though the club have remained silent about Arda Turan’s injury, the reality is the Turkish midfielder is unlikely to be available for Barcelona’s game against Granada on Saturday.

Arda took a knock to his ankle from Martin Demichelis during Tuesday’s Catalan Super Cup loss to Espanyol and everything suggests he won’t recover in time for the weekend. Without confirmation from the club, though, it’s not known whether the player just has a small pain or if there’s a sprain or a twist.

The midfielder was seen on Thursday wearing flip-flops, unable to wear shoes, with his right ankle heavily bandaged. He was at an event where the first team players were being given their club Audis.

If confirmed, Luis Enrique will only have four central midfielders available for Granada: Busquets, Rakitic, Denis Suarez and Andre Gomes. Remember that Rafinha has a rib problem and Iniesta was injured last weekend at Valencia.
