Another megaoffer for Arda Turan from China has arrived

Barcelona aren’t planning to sell in January, save a big offer for Aleix Vidal. However, they are aware of the offers which could arrive from China. Above all for one player, who is in an exceptional moment of form. In concrete, Guangzhou Evergrande and Beijing Guoan are interested in Arda Turan. In principle, the Turkish forward has no intention of leaving, but everyone has their price.

Arda Turan has always been on the Chinese league’s radar. He’s previously recognised that Barça rejected an offer for him last summer. Both the club and the player were not interested in the deal. The player’s ambition is to remain at Camp Nou and win titles. There will be time for these adventures. But the interest has returned and there’s been contact. His entourage have denied it, but the reality is that three teams have been in touch and two are ready to do whatever it takes to sign him.

Both Guangzhou and Beijing want the player to give the green light to begin talks. They know everything depends on the will of the player to change scenery. Turkish newspaper Fanatik revealed Guangzhou’s interest last week and suggested they’d pay an 18 million euro salary annually. Beijing would move in the same area, which would see Arda triple his current earnings.

Barça paid Atletico Madrid 34 million euros for Arda Turan. They don’t plan on selling him, but an offer of 40 million euros would see them make a profit. It’s an interesting proposal economically, if not in sporting terms.

Arda Turan, despite his inconsistency and the fact he often misses out on the bigger games, has the total support of Luis Enrique. Last summer brought a lot of debate about his adaption to the side, but the coach has always backed him. He considers Arda one of the most versatile players in the team and he’s vital for covering absences in midfield and up front. Luis Enrique does not want to sell in January, but the offer which gets put on the table may have to be studied.
