Andres Iniesta helped Pedro facilitate Barcelona exit

Andres Iniesta played a key part in helping Pedro seal his move to Chelsea last month. 

Pedro confided in him when he had decided to leave, with Iniesta then explaining to the club why it might be best to let him leave.

"The most important thing for me was that I had Andres to confide in when there seemed no way out," Pedro explained in an interview with Marca.

"He offered me support and tried to explain to the club that if I wasn't happy, they should do everything to facilitate my departure.

"He acted like the great captain and friend he is."

Chelsea's latest signing also explained that he spoke to Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets when deciding what to do. 

Finally, he added that Xavi Hernandez called him after the move had been completed, offering his congratulations.
