Andre Gomes aware of PSG threat in Champions League

Andre Gomes is aware that PSG are a threat to Barcelona as the sides prepare to clash in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

"PSG have top quality players, they made some good signings in January," he said.

"Zlatan’s gone, but Cavani is scoring a lot of goals. The midfield is very strong, they’re a really complete team.

"They have won the league without problems in recent years and we’re playing at their home and it will be a difficult game.

"But like I said before, we’re ready and looking to win the game. Hopefully we can take a good result into the second leg."

Gomes continued: "It's the best club competition, most important thing is that it’s back and it’s the knockout stages, which are always against the best teams. Will be a tough game, but it’s the type of game we like.

"It’s not about talking about favourites in games like this. These are the 16 best teams at the moment. These are very difficult games, it's to be expected, playing away from home against a team who wants to win. We work on trying to win, too, to take a good result back for second leg at home.

"We need to go out strong tomorrow, we want to win. Yes, there’s tiredness with games every two or three days, but that’s not post important aspect for tomorrow’s match."
