Alen Halilovic to sign for UD Las Palmas on loan
The Croatian was sold to Hamburg last summer but Barça have an option to re-sign him
Former Barcelona player Alen Halilovic is close to completing a move to Las Palmas.
The Croatian attacker is expected in the Canary Islands on Thursday afternoon to have a medical and seal a loan move.
Halilovic was sold to Hamburg for five million euros last summer, although Barça maintain an option to sign him back within two years.
They can sign him this summer for 10 million euros of next summer for 12.5 million euros.
Therfore, Barça would have had nothing to do with the decision to loan him to Las Palmas until the end of the season in exchange for two million euros.
With official confirmation to come, nothing is expected to get in the way of the deal.
Las Palmas will sign a player who impressed while on loan with Sporting Gijon in La Liga last season.
If the Canary Islanders decide they want to buy him in the summer, though, Barça would become involved in any potential deal.
