Aleix Vidal's Barcelona future is currently "on standby"
The full-back could still leave Camp Nou but none of the offers he's received have yet convinced him
Aleix Vidal's representative in Italy has admitted that the Barcelona full-back could still leave the club in January, but things are currently at a standstill.
"The situation with Aleix is on standby. He's a player of a high level and his exit from Barça can only go through if certain aspects are met," Battistini told 'TMW Radio'.
The reality is that the player is now clear that he has no chance of playing for Barça regularly despite his good performances in his recent performances for the club. His idea, therefore, is to find a place where he can play. However, he's not willing to accept any offer. He will evaluate the sporting project offered to him and the priority is to find a club fighting to win competitions. Galatasaray are the most recent to show interest.
Another aspect which could delay his departure is how much he's paid at Barça. Few clubs are ready to match his wages until the end of the season. The player does have interest from various teams of a good level to move in June, though, if his situation at the Catalan club does not change.
