Aleix Vidal has offers to leave... but will go in June, not January

The plan to look for a loan ended with the player being used in the Champions League and Copa del Rey

Aleix Vidal’s situation at Barcelona is complicated, even though he has played some minutes in the last few weeks. While he has received some offers, none are tempting enjoy to convince him to leave in January. The club would let him leave but it is difficult to imagine it happening before summer.

Vidal started looking for a team in November, when he was being left out of the squad every week. He has a high salary and the market for full-backs is saturated this winter. The offers he has received come from Olympique Marseille and Italy—both Inter and AC Milan—as well as Swansea and Southampton.

The plan to look for a loan ended with the player being used in the Champions League and Copa del Rey. Aleix would only want to play for a top level team and with the chance that they could execute an option to buy on the deal.

The situation will change a lot in the summer. Barcelona are asking for 14m euros so they don’t make a loss on the player, but by summer will reduce that to 10. That means that clubs will be more willing to buy the full-back, with Sevilla keeping an eye on him.
